Mendooran, NSW, Australia (2008)

Mendooran (Pop: ~320) is a small country town approximately 350 km west of Sydney.  The town provides free camping for caravans and motor homes and has a very good pub. In the town can be found about 10 colourful murals reflecting scenes from local history and rural life. Murals were painted by former resident, Karin Duce.  The pictures below are part of a very large mural painted on the old Mural Cafe.  It depicts a horse race at the Mendooran Turf Club Races, held annually for the past 150 years.
