Twisp is a town in Okanogan County, Washington, United States, population ~ 1000.  The Twisp River originates in the North Cascades portion of the Cascade Range. It flows into the Methow River at Twisp.

Mallala, SA, Australia (2010)

Mallala is a small town about 75 kilometres north of Adelaide in South Australia. The name Mallala is thought to be derived from the local Aboriginal word 'madlola' which supposedly meant 'place of the ground frog'. The Mallala Motor Sport Park regularly hosts national and international motor racing events.  Ref: Wikipedia

Ravensthope, WA, Australia (2010)

Ravensthorpe is 540 km south east of Perth, 40 km inland from the south coast of Western Australia.  BHP Biliton opened a nickel and cobalt mine and processing plant nearby in 2008 but closed it down in 2009 with the loss of 1500 jobs - a major threat to the old town.
